Smile Aftermarket Stereo

Hello, I have a 2003 G35 Sedan with BOSE system. I would like to install an aftermarket stereo. I was told I could not do this because the A/C and the stereo are 1 unit. But I know it is possible. What parts do I need?

anyways, in a nutshell, you will need:

JDM DD finisher
JDM AC controls
DD head-unit
Pac unit for retaining steering wheel controls

and it should come out something like this:

i used this dash kit from Metra.. it retains the dual climate controls unlike the JDM dash.

http://www.amazon.com/METRA-99-7604-INFINITI-2003-2004-INSTALLATION/dp/B000WCI422 http://www.amazon.com/METRA-99-7604-INFINITI-2003-2004-INSTALLATION/dp/B000WCI422

the color matches perfectly

When I first got the car I looked into upgrading the stereo… then got sidetracked with performance mods… then got side tracked by cosmetic mods… now I guess I should consider audio again…

I don’t drive the car much and therefore don’t use the stereo much – so I don’t need anything hard-core… is there any value in just upgrading the speakers and keeping OEM head unit?... If so – is there any value in adding a small amp with OEM head unit? Again, I’m not interested in an @ss kickin’ system – just clean sound and maybe a bit higher level/volume capability…
