High Output Alternator

has anyone had their alternator rewound for higher output, or know where one might find one?? also how much would something like that cost.

any info would be great!!

I would look at some local altenator / starter repair shops. I also have heard and I am not sure on the truth to this. That a rewound alt will die out much faster than one that is designed to produce that current amprage.

For my Accord I got a 180A for 275 or 300. It was by qualitypowerauto.com. A friend of mine uses Iraggi.

I'm going to get one as soon as possible but right now we are trying to get a larger house so all car upgrades are on hold.
