Satellite Antenna mounted inside instead of on roof?
Just bought the OEM XM kit for my wife '05 G35x.
I am trying to avoid having the big ugly black antenna on her roof, and would rather mount in near the back glass on the rear deck. Plus it would make the install take 1/4 of the time of trying to run the wire hidden in the rubber seal of the rear window.
Anyone doing this? Pics?

I mounted my mini-XM antenna (with magnetic mount) beneath the 3rd brakelight on a metal shelf. Sorry, no pics, but this location is easy to access after removing the upper trunk finisher piece. The plastic of the brakelight part seems to be adequately transparant for good signal.
I had my antenna under the rear window on a metal disc but I sometimes had reception problems. I moved it to the front right corner of the windshield and I'm not sure the reception is any better or worse.
I found a pic of where I mounted mine. The yellow circle shows the XMicro antenna (with magnetic mount) sitting on a steel shelf not far from the trunk light. This location is almost directly underneath the 3rd brake light housing that extends toward the rear window.
I used a piece of velco to mount my Sirius Antenae on the rear deck of my 2005 coupe. sorry no pics

Well I tried to mount the small antenna on the rear deck with no luck.
I wound up just doing the factory style antenna mount and runnign the cable under the molding of the rear window just like OEM.
All in all wasn't TOO bad, but I would have preferred it inside.
We'll see how well it holds up.
