The magnet/motor assembly on the Icon is huge. I doubt it will fit without spacers.

I'm not presenting that as fact, just my best guess from looking at the pics of the sub. Would be very difficult to determine without actually dry-fitting the driver in the enclosure.

So just to confirm, all of you got the JL 10w6v2 to fit without any modification, and the grille still fits normally? Rotating it to fit isn't a big deal to me, since you barely see the sub through the grille anyways.

ok, thank you. so i guess im just gonna have to bite the bullet and buy it to see if it fits and if it doesnt then i guess im out some money? i emailed 4080 enclosures about a week ago and havent heard anything back.

looking at pictures, it looks very similar to the jl10w6v2 so i bet it will fit, i guess i could always get a spacer too

Unless you can find one somewhere to testfit, then yeah, pretty much. That's what I had to do.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong? There are 4 versions of the 4080 enclosure for the G35.

coupe driver side 10"
coupe passenger side 10"
sedan passenger side 10"
sedan passenger side 12"

That's correct. on the sedan use the 10" if you have a full size spare tire. if you have the smaller spare the 12" is for you

Well my 10" IDQ v.3 came in today, and got it installed. It's a very tight fit, so it will be a b*tch if I ever want to get it out. Grille fits too.

G35 Sedan
Driver's Passenger side
JL 12W6
No mods

I also made a box for the driver's side to add a second one because there is no driver side 4080 for the sedan.

They are way different. The sedan's trunk is much taller and overall a completely different shape.
