What Sub are you running in your 4080 box?

By now, there are tons of us out there with 4080 boxes, and there will countless new owners in the future. Because of the size/shape of the 4080 box, not all round 10" subs will fit. This is due to not only the mounting depth and mounting diameter, but also the shape of the basket/spider and thickness of the rubber trim ring.

Let's start a record of what people are successfully running in their 4080 boxes and what, if any, modification was needed to stuff it in there. Since everyone likes pics, that would be great too, if you have them handy.

Please include the following in your post:
G35 Coupe / Sedan
Driver's side / Passenger side / Both
Exact brand/model sub you're running
What modifications, if any, were required for fitment

I'll start with what I've tried thus far:

G35 coupe
Driver's side box
JL 10w3v2
Eclipse SW6010
Image Dynamics IDQ10 V.3

Successfully ran a JL 10w3v2, then later an Eclipse SW6010, and now an IDQ10 V.3, no modification needed on any of them. Recently tried an RE Audio SE10 but it didn't fit b/c of the angle of the thick arms on the basket. Could've made it fit by installing an MDF spacer around the opening where the sub mounts, but it would've needed to be over an inch thick, and would look stupid and leave the sub unprotected.

G35 coupe
driver's side
Image Dynamics / IDMAX10 D2 v.3
needed to add 1.5" of MDF spacer rings to accommodate depth; 4080 grille is not usable without reglassing front of enclosure

G35 coupe passenger's side, I'm running a JL 10w6v2. The sub will fit but it has to be rotated 90 degrees.

2004 G35 Coupe
Both
running both JL Audio w6v2 in both...I was running the JL audio w6 in the drivers side just fine. needed more space though I am pretty sure. The Passenger side wouldnt fit the w6 and If I wanted to I could of added an MDF Spacer.

Sold them both and got the w3v2 subs in its replace.

Are you serious? FUCK! How far off was it?

Looking at pics, I thought it would have a better chance at fitting without modification vs. a JL 10w6v2, which it sounds like people are running with no issues? Damn damn damn.

I have the driver and passenger 4080 coupe boxes with 10w6s in each of them. They fit without modification of the box, but I did have to turn each sub a little bit from straight up so the terminals wouldn't hit the box.

The mounting depth isn't listed but the pics look like that sub is way too deep for the 4080 box.

The 4080 box has a mounting depth of 7.5", and the sub you're looking at has a depth of 6.0" If that's accurate, it works in that regard. Still doesn't necessarily mean it'll fit though, as I've learned recently.
