Nav screen saver

I work valet and got to park a nissan armada w/ nav and after about a min, the start up screen had gone away and it was just a grey screen w/ the climate control temperatures in the bottom corner. does anyone know if our system can do this?

My buddy's QX56 does this too, not my (2003) coupe though...
