upgrading speakers non-bose

I have an '04 coupe with the non-Bose system. I do not what to spend allot of money as I will be trading for a newer G next year. I am thinking of replacing my front door speakers and putting some 6x9's in the rear deck instead of replacing the rear seat speakers. I'm looking at some Alpine SPS600 in front and SPR69C in back. I know this will not be a great system, but I hope it will improve the sound of what is there. Does the non-Bose have the cutouts for the 6x9's already there? Thanks for any input on this idea.

Infinity's (not to be confused with Infiniti) make really awesome speakers, which I've actually had in 2 of my other vehicles prior to my G...

one more thing,
we can all tell you

"brand x sounds great to me" but untill you go listen for yourself you wont be happy.

I myself like laid back tweet. Such as the CDT Es tweets.

What I would do is take CD you made with songs you listen to often and try diffrant speakers out

My budget is around $300.
I do plan to go and listen to as many as I can.
My main questions are;
Is the rear deck already cut for the 6x9's?
Will rear deck speakers sound better than the rear seat side speakers?
Thanks for your help.

sounds better is an opinion

Agian, its your car,but we can all give our opinions.

I myself like to get a really good set of components for the front and give them as much wattage as the budget allows ( or about 150ish rms)

Why are you set on 6x9's? Are you looking for more bass? If so 6x9s wont do it for you, you will need a sub. Even if its just a 8" sub it will make more impact than a pair of 6x9s.

I would get a good component set up front and get an ok set of co-axs for the rear, and a sub in the back, agian thats just me, you make be looking for something diffrant
