Question Enough bass??

I was originally thinking to get 2 10" IDMAX subs in 4080 box with around a 1,000 watt amp but realizing it would b around 800-1,000$$ less to go with 1 10" inch IDMAX in a 4080 box with a amp around 800 watt amp. My question is would it be enough bass?? Im not trying to drive around and set off car alarms but im looking for something that will sound nice and hit hard. Anybody with this setup let me know thanks..

I have this exact setup. It all depends on what your idea of "enough bass" is. I know people that say thay have a ton of bass but to me it sounds like stock. I have had many systems in other cars that had upwards for 4 12s and over 2000 watts. Those had bass. The bass you will get from this setup is pretty good. There is some nice hit to the sub but it also can get some of the lower end a little. Always remember its a 10" so you cannot expect a ton of bass from it. What will your source be? If you are running stock HU, your signal will be pretty weak. I always want more bass but it comes down to it, I enjoy all the trunk space I have again. If you were in the San Fran area, id let you listen to my setup....

+1 each person has their own taste when it comes to music. bass I've been installing systems for years. so I've heard HUGE systems and I've opted to go with 1 10W6V2 and I think that's enough bass for me. If you're a basshead though... you'll want more.
