Broken CD changer

I tried to look for a similar problem on the forum but was not able to find anything close. My cd changer stopped working while it tried to switch cds. And when the cd couldnt read the changer tried to eject the cd but the cd never came out and got stuck. I got the cd to come out but now the door to the chnger is stuck open and the changer has completely stopped working. I can still press the load button to load cds but the changer just doesnt cycle through the cds. I thought disconnecting the battery and reconnecting would do something but now the changer just thinks there are no cds in the changer. All the buttons work and i can use the radio but ejecting and loading cds has stopped working. Is there anyway to fix this or am I just gonna have to find a replacement? Any help on this would be awesome thanks.

you can find a used cd changer on the forum.. I just bought one for pretty cheap. Also check on ebay, they are more expensive but they're there if u need it.

I don't blame your search skills, I blame the terrible search format of this site to begin with.

But your problem is very common. I consider myself lucky never having to have worried about this issue.

As others said, if you're under 4 yrs/60K for the bumper-to-bumper warranty, you'll get a free new player. Otherwise you can pick up a stock system here for cheap. If you want to spend a bit more you can piclk up a DD (Double DIN - meaning twice the size of standard aftermarket CD players) and get a much sweeter setup than stock was to begin with.
