You shouod be able to program any of the radio buttons to do any function you want. For example I programmed my pwr button to mute the radio.

Pwr button, yes, but you cannot use the "Phone" button -- has a picture of a telephone on it. Nor can you use any of the cruise control buttons (obviously, but had to state this fact)

quick question:
Can I criss-cross the end of the resistors(150ohm and 47ohm) together and solder the white wire on to it?

yes

but make sure you reinforce the whole thing with something solid .. like a piece of plastic as the resistors are very weak (the metal tongs) and they can break over time..

I can't put two commands onto one button? ie. I want to use the mode button to change sources and pick up the phone. Is this possible? Thanks

No you can only have one command for each button.

Thanks for the help guys!!!

I got the pac-swi-ps to work! The problem was that the resistor was broken and that caused the problem!
It was fairly easy to program. The hardest part was taking the entire dash apart.!

Good job on the write up! This will come in handy for alot of people!

I'm having probs with my PAC SWI. When I first installed the unit, it was working perfectly for about a couple of weeks. Then all of a sudden it would quit working after driving for more than 20 mins. The next morning everything worked fine but again it stopped working after 20 mins of operation. Does anyone else have this problem?
