How do I make my aftermarket HU louder?

Hi i just installed a Kenwood DDX512 into my 04 G35 coupe. I got the double din combo kit off ebay which had everything with it, and it definitely looks great. My only problem is that the only way to make it loud is if i turn it up all the way, and max out the volume. i have the stock bose system, and with the original HU it would get pretty loud. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks.

what harness did you buy? one with RCAs going into the speakers or straight wires where you had to wire the + and -?

the RCAs will be quieter because there's a lower signal going into the amp.
the straight wires will give you a louder sound but there's a higher chance on distortion.

this is why I didnt get the Bose set up

ive heard people having this problem

Id get an amp and run your speakers that way

I dont know if there is a way to "turn up" the gains on the bose amp.

honestly. the bose system in the G really isn't a true bose system at all. the headunit is clarion. so you can swap out the deck easily. it just comes down to the wiring harness you use.

Hey thanks for the responses. So I do have the RCA jacks hooked to the headunit, so like you said it's probly why it's lower. Now I didread about a type of 2 line converter... Anyone know anything about that?

you don't need that for just installing a deck. if you swap your harness to the 7550 version it will be louder but as I previously stated. higher chance of distortion
