I think it's just a shady ground on the system. if your system is not grounded properly it will suck more power from the battery as it's trying harder to find a final termination location.
make sure the area is sufficiently sanded down to the bare metal and that's it is part of the chassis.

I had this problem in my car i have a 300/2, 500/1, HU, and the stock bose amp all running, by the way the "losing power" or "jerking" you feel when the base hits is your fuel injectors cutting out, this is really really really bad for your car and you should fix the problem immediatly.
I fixxed the issue with the following:
Added 2 gauge wire to my battery, grouding it directly from the battery to various places in the engine bay using ring terminals on the battery and bolts.
Added a Kinetik power cell, HC800, under the floor in the trunk. I wired this up to my distribution block and also grounded this in like 5 places under the floor of the trunk.
Re-did all the grounds for the amps, I drilled holes and tapped them 1/4-20. I sanded the areas around the holes until there was bare metal so that the contact would be better. I grounded the amps in a bunch of places and jumpered the grounds throughout the back area of the car using 1/4-20 bolts with flat washers and split lock washers.
After doing all this, I tested it out by turing on both the high-beam headlights and the foglights, both the seat heaters, defrosters on high both front and rear at 60 degrees, and both overhead lights on. The overhead lights barley dimmed at all with the volume maxxed out. (you can't comfortably listen to it at this volume without earplugs)
