FM modulator w/ AVElectronic
FM modulator w/ AVElectronic
I am thinking about getting an avelectronic nav switcher and am wondering what the sound quality is like. Does the fm modulator pick up engine noise and make that annoying buzzing noise or is it pretty good? Also how is the screen quality on our stock nav screens. Give me whatever input you have thanks.
Re: FM modulator w/ AVElectronic
Hey there,
The AV unit's video quality is good. Most people wouldn't notice any 'bad' picture quality on it, even with the stock screen. The stock LCD screen in most cars (like ours) is just a regular LCD screen capable of displaying the video input just fine... You will be happy with the quality.
The FM modulation sound is really not the best - but it works. I think this is a weak link in the system, because the factory headunit's tuner is not really pulling the full frequency range, of lets say a CD or SAT input.
I have my AV unit connected right now, with the FM modulation. For most purposes, it works great (like watching a movie etc). But if you want to have some music in the background etc - it really isnt the highest quality sound - but it works.
I would recommend doing what I have planned to do from the beginning: Connect the AV Electronic tuner through a PAC Aux input module... I think most of my customers are doing the same now.
