Im having a hard time decidin on which unit to buy. i want to use the IPod function (i have the ipod video 30gb)
1st off i have an 04' Coupe w/ bose and Navi

Hard decision beacuse:
-They both cost the same.
-USA Spec. has more reviews about it but:
-Lack of Steering wheel control (skip tracks)
-Lack of Text display on factory HU

-Peripheral Electronics has good reviews about their products but none for the G35 Ipod interface unit PXAMG-A
-Seen Pictures of it its compared to the same size as the USA Spec unit.
-Supposed that u can use the steering controls for the PXAMG-A unit
-Supposedly u have the text display on the factory HU

Soo im hoping u guys (which i trust cause we all have the same cars and interest) can help me have this decision soon!

I was weighing the same options... Other than advertisements for the PXAMG, I can't find any good photos or comments on how well it works, either.

Best price I've seen for the PXAMG with wiring harness is about $135 (without shipping).

I was just thinking to get the PXAMG unit too. The main reason that I want to get it as opposed to the USA Spec unit is because PXAMG retains the factory Satellite radio (please correct me if i'm wrong). The Usa Spec unit is not compatible with factory Satellite, you either won't be able to install it later or will have to unplug the current installation!

By the way do you guys know if I will be able to install a Parrot Kit later on if I decide to? I wonder if the Parrot Kit harness is compatible.

Just wanted to update everyone.. I just got a response from the person who sells PXAMG's on eBay and he stated that the unit is compatible with the Parrot Kit! Yay, i might buy it at a later time )

the USA Spec pa11-nis2 does allow for steering wheel track change. Only thing it really doesn't do is display audio text. which is a decent feature to have but doesn't matter as it is your IPOD you know the song you put in it, why worry about the display

Easier said then done... i have 4700+ songs i cant remember all of them....

Im still looking for info. about the PXAMG-A unit i found some slight info of other vehicles and i called the company but all they can tell me is same info. i can read off the net. Nice thin i also read about this unit u can later add on HD radio unit and have ur ipod and HD radio soo that a plus... but then again im still researching it... illl keepp every1 updated on my find...

So the USA Spec pa11-nis2 does allow for steering wheel track change on an 05 Sedan (w/ bose in dash changer), just not text on headunit?

This seems like a better deal than the PAC AAI-NIS2 as it needs an additional plug to charge ipod and another to do the track changes.

Update: I called a company that sells the product (P.E. PXAMG) and they say u can keep the factory Satellite radio with this and the ipod interface uses the text display with this unit and steering wheel controls as far as the coupe goes....

soo im goin to bite the bullet and purchase the unit and see if this is better than the USA spec or the PAC unit....

And this unit can be updated with new firmware
