avic f500bt anyone?

hey

http://www.86photovideo.com/products...FQrFGgodwnf7mQ

so ive been looking at this gps system for a while and i was wondering if anyone has this in their G.

It has an auxiliary input so i could just install an aux kit and play mp3s and whatnot directly from the avic 500.

I was thinking abuot either placing it above the cubby or just trying to mount it onto the cubby door.

and thoughts, comments or concerns?

thanks!

I actually have the Pioneer F90BT version, and am overall VERY pleased with it.

The one thing I HAVE heard about the F500's is that the battery life is for sh*t! I initially thought it might be a good model, but from what I've heard, I would definitely go for either the 700, 900 or 90.

My opinion only - but the unit's themselves are really great! Tons of features that work, for me at least, outstanding!

Cheers,
Kev

P.S. check out AVIC411.com for a wealth of info on these units!

Potato,

Did you end up getting this? I am seriously looking at them now that they can be had for $200. Is there an option to play the audio through the radio? I saw the option amp that you can get, but I don't really want to fool with that.

Anyone else out there have this?
Thanks
Brent
