so you did both hard wired and software bypass?

did you follow the bypass instructions on avic411?

Is it possible to not do a hard wired bypass and just do a software bypass or you must do both? I was reading about it, but the people on that forum did not specify the exactly to do both. I read somewhere on that forum where some said they only did a software bypass and some said they did both...?

Please clarify that for me.
thanks.

you can do one or the other or both... if you do the software one you still have to ground the parking break wire, you just dont have to switch the mute pin and ground that.

buy the 3.0 firmware upgrade for the f90bt-- like... now. That's the most important thing i can convey to you. and then buy the metra 70-7551 wire harness kit, period. Create a separate ground on the chassis wall and run your ground to the f90bt ground wire, no questions. Install your microphone in the cardholder (left and above the driver's head).

Rob I have my F90BT just sitting in my spare bedroom at the moment, I'm waiting to create a trim piece to fill in the gap (following PeterUbers instructions, god help me). My question is, I am planning on putting some Infinity Reference speakers in the front and rear seats, and powering them with the F90s amp, will I have to rerun speaker wire to the HU, since the BOSE amp is in the back?

mmm not sure on that... I didn't have the bose system to start with so all the wires were running from the HU to my Speakers. I would assume you would have to run wires from the HU to the speakers since they are probably not there. Good luck with that, I was going to run new wires thinking it would help the sound quality but eventually gave up because it was a bit*h

yeah I put the pac-swi in... was the hardest part of the install... if I did it again it would be easier its just figuring out how to program it that was hard. when all you have is an led blinking at you its hard to know where you are in the programing. Its hard but not impossible.
