can the people who've installed this posts pics and possible diy? just curious where everyone is placing their amps and wiring etc..

 

yea id love to see a pic of that enclosure with the cargo net still there...i thought i'd never use it...but now i love it and prolly would hate to part with it

i think i have one of the early boxes with out the cargo net cut out. sorry, but the fit is sweet.

The sub is the 10w6 and Im very pleased with the output. Now if I can only get the rear view mirror to stop rattling...

 

where did you mount the amp for that?

 

Im running an xtant 3.1 that I have mounted right over the factory Bose amp. At first I thought heat would be an issue but it has never shut down, and I live in Hawaii where its always hot. Im very pleased with this combination because it has just the right amount of bass for my taste.

 

No you have the current model with the cut outs. Just put your cargo net in and install your box.

 

What about the sedan...extremely interested!!! Would it fit Infinity Perfect 10.1 10" 4-ohm Component Sub, that is what I am interested in getting, you should make a 2 10" enclosure to fit in the middle of the trunk in the sedan, lots of room right there!

do you think you can make a box to fit a 10w7? or will that be a problem since it requires a lot of airspace?

 

The 10W7 will work but you will loose the grill option. To fit the sub in the enclosure a thicker mounting ring will be installed to bring the sub further out. This will increase the air space in the enclosure that the sub "utilizes." I would recomend the W6. A better woofer IMO. It does not require as much power to be loud and it is much more musical. The W7 does not sound natural. Not worth it unless you like to tell everyone you have a big sub. I think a smaller sub that plays loud and sounds great is much more impressive.

 

my cargo net is installed with the box but, i won't be able to take any pics until i come back from miami on monday. sorry guys. the box hits like a champ though. great buy.
