Removing stereo to access AUX

I know this has been posted a million times but I just wanted to make sure before I started.

I wanted to hook up my Zune in my car. So all I need is a RCA to aux cable? I dont want it hooked up to the stereo or have it be charging. I was just going to get the RCA cable.

Also, to remove just the cd player, do you also need to remove the lower shifter piece and clock too? Or does the center counsil pop right off after removing the "bar" piece below the clock.

Thanks

what year is the car?
I'm pretty sure you have to take the whole thing out as though you were replacing the deck.

Umm, I don't think there's an aux in on the stock stereo. You'll need a converter to play through one of the SAT presets also.

You will need an adapter. Search for ipod and you'll find options that have an input that will work for your Zune.

you have to get an aux input adapter - no way to simply connect it to your stock stereo.

you'll want to go with the PAC and the 3.5mm to RCA cable.

around $65 on ebay and easy install. learn more about install here: www.myG35mods.com

If your comfortable cutting and soldering, you can add aux inputs. I did in my 03 sedan, cost me $5.98+tax, took maybe 30 minutes and works great. Oh and you dont even have to touch your dash to do it. I dont mind posting step by step how to if anyone's interested.
