I think the SAT button is for satelite radio. so unless you have a USB connector, you cannot connect your iPod (unless you use the FM modulator).

that is why I got the 2005 sedan, it can play MP3 cds, thus I do not to bring my music player everywhere I go.

You'll need an aftermarker Ipod controlled. There are 3 ways to do this. The best wasy uses a modified Nissan adapter but is also the most expensive...about $200. It controls your Ipod through the steering wheel controls, displays the song name and title and charges your unit.

Look in the sound and electronics forums for more info.

There is an ebay store called Integration Solutions that has the IPOD integration Mustang5L5 mentions above. The Level 5 kit can be purchased without the SAT package (seems like I was quoted $170). You'll have to call them to order it.

We've got this USA Spec adaptor in our '05 and '06. The system sees it as a CD changer. You'll need to research whether it will work in an '04

If you're comfortable soldering you can do it for $5.98. Works great and only took about 30 minutes to do. If anyones interested in how I could write a step by step how to when I get a chance.

I wrote directions in

ITS NOT THE BEST BUT IT WORKS GREAT AND BETTER THAN AN FM MODULATOR ..
AND CHEAPER THAN ALL THOSE OTHER CHOICES ..

BUT I HAVE A SIMPLE MONSTER CABLE CASETTE DECK ADAPTER THAT PLUGS INTO YOUR IPOD .. $20 BUCKS YOU CANT GO WRONG ..
WORKS GREAT .. AT LEAST TILL YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO MOD WITH ONE OF THE OTHER CHOICES ..

Yes 03/04's have a tape deck.

I guess Infiniti felt older people who would be buying their cars still had collections of cassettes.

I couldn't even tell you the last time i listened to a cassette.

all you need is that little SAT button you have and a handy Aux Input Adapter.

all the info you could ever want to know is in this thread (and you'll find several more with a "ipod" search):

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...-aai-nis2.html

you can also see how i did this with the PAC aux input adapter as well as see a comparison chart of the most popular adapters (they each have their pros and cons) on my site www.myG35mods.com
