Just brought home the Bel V995. Having never used one of these units before, I wish to query the members on what is the best location for the window mount. My first choice was behind & just below the rear view, but the cord is very visable.
Is there an agreed upon spot that compromises the 2 (angle & obstruction)? I have the homelink option, so my rear view is pretty large.
Thanks for any imput as I will be taking it out for my first cruise in the morning.

nice unit, I have the 985. The best location is under or next to the rear view, but in order to make it look good you would have to hardwire it so that the wires don't show up. I'm not sure if I want to do that yet, so I just put it right above the center console.. I ran the wire down the little space in the middle vent so hide some of the wires. Also, if you decide to put it under the rearview mirror make sure it clears the top tint otherwise it won't get a clear signal.. hope this helps
