Hardwiring a USB port

I want to add a usb port into my 04 G so that I can use an ipod dock in addition to my AAI NIS2 aux in.

Here is what I am thinking. Cut up a female usb connector that I have so I can get the wires. Then I need to wire the positive to a 5V source behind the dash and ground the negative. Are there any 5V sources I could use or should I just use a resistor and tap a 12V source like the radio? Would I run into any problems doing this?

Here is the usb pinout

I thought about doing that but I got my aai nis2 for 40 bucks on ebay. Thats why I need a charging method. I already have the usb parts so I may just need a resistor so my total cost would be like $45 if this works.
