Re: PAC AUX PROBLEM

Is your car SAT ready? Did the place you buy it at ask you if you had a SAT button? You probably need to get a refund.

Re: PAC AUX PROBLEM

wait i thought it shouldnt matter if the car is sat ready or not. the pac adapter just plugs in behind the stereo unit (where the factory sat harness would go and between the main power supply). you do not use the sat harness. unless your car is totally devoid of a sat button, then you should be good to go. nothing happens when you press the sat button?

hm, i guess im unfamiliar with the 03's....nm

Re: PAC AUX PROBLEM

dude, if you don't have a SAT button there is no harness, there is no satellite, never. You will have to put a unit in that has Sat capabilities before you can use this aux adapter.

Re: PAC AUX PROBLEM

Ditto, if you do not have that "SAT" button, you can't use the PAC AAI-NIS. Plain and simple.

Re: PAC AUX PROBLEM

The SAT connector can also be used to run an external CD changer. So it's possible to have the connection but no way to access it since the PAC emulates a SAT tuner instead of a changer (accessed by hitting the CD button again).

Re: PAC AUX PROBLEM

I just tried to install mine and I'm getting nothing. My car is SAT ready with a button and a plug in the back. I removed the factory sat plug, plugged in the pac plug. Removed the factory power harness, plugged the pac harness in and plugged the factory harness back into the other pac plug. I puress the sat button and I get "No SAT". Any ideas?? My car is ripped apart right now so I'd rather figure out I have a bad module before I put it all back together.

Re: PAC AUX PROBLEM

Try this - turn key one more quarter turn so all dash light come on but don't start the engine - mine does that the first time it's installed after that it works fine.

Re: PAC AUX PROBLEM

After I posted here I made myself some lunch went back out and it worked fine. I guess it just needed to be reset or something like you were saying. Thanks for the tip. The sound is like night and day compared to the fm modulator I was running.
