Best place to get stereo installed in DFW?

Does anyone have any recommendations where I can go to get my stereo installed in my coupe? I plan on doing the double din conversion with an Eclipse AVN2454 HU. There's a place in Arlington called Mobile Sound Systems and he has the AVN, but he admitted to me that he has never installed one in our coupe before. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Steve

There's a good DIY guide up above. You'll save lots of money and if you have questions, feel free to ask us. Also, you wouldn't have to worry about a non-experienced person messing up your nice car.

Re: Best place to get stereo installed in DFW?

I have never installed a stereo in my car before, and I'm hesitant to try because I'm afraid I might mess it up. I want to install the AVN and it looks pretty complicated, so I'd rather have someone with a little more experience do it for me. Heck, I'm willing to pay someone from this forum who has installed a double din in their coupe to do it for me.

Contact me, Sooner-guy. I have already done my coupe. I did the dash, front spkrs, rear spkrs and have a sub/amp in the trunk. When I took my car in to get a new alarm put in, the install guy was pretty impressed, so I musta done pretty well with it. You can drop by anytime to take a look at my car if you want. I have had 3 people (including 2 sound guys and an Infiniti guy) say it was a clean install - "who did it for you?" LOL. I did, homie. I did. Because I did the rear seat speakers, and everything (the rear speakers is the hardest part), I saved about $1600 for a shop to do it all for me. I don't know what you're getting quoted on, but just don't get ripped off. Some shop told me they would have to redo/readjust the A/C tubing under the dash... I'm like - What the crap are you talking about??? You ain't touching my car, buddy.

Holla at me sometime......... Your team beat mine twice, but I still might can help ya out...... Bamadog@bamadog.com

I live just north of the land of Gar (Garland) in Sachse (Dallas Co.).

if you want a good shop and good people try Tweeter in Frisco and ask for install manager, Doughboy(you know like the pillsbury dough boy). he did me install and was very reasonable with the pricing of the equipment and the install. let him know art martinez recommended you to him. good luck..

respect yourself and everyone else..
