04 Navigation install

I need some help here. I have an 04 G coupe that did not come from the factory with a navigation unit. I want to buy a used OEM unit but I don't know if it will even work with my car now. Does anyone know or have any advice to give? What all do I need to install one? It would be much appreciated. Thank you
