06 Coupe Nav mod possible?

Hi guys! Im getting pissed off on my nav,.. Its very very slow when putting address and/or searching POI's. It takes forever! I think its because of the DVD unit when it tries to read from the disc, now my question is -is it possible to create an image in a hard disk/SSD and replace the DVD unit (where you insert the NAV disk) with it? Is there a socket that will convert the DVD unit to replace it with a SATA cable/IDE cable?

FYI: Im not a car electrician nor a car audio specialist, so my knowledge about this matter is very limited. But in the other hand, Im a computer "hardware" geek, so I can get whatever computer parts needed.

As the NAV unit is integrated into the same hardware as the DVD drive, I find it highly unlikely.

If it's too slow for you, upgrade to a better DD nav unit.
