Wiring problems need some help and advice

Hey there Im new to the forum recently bought a 2005 G35 for a great steal... the only problem with the car is it wont start. Originally when I got the car it was starting fine but after a couple months in the shop it just wont start. I carried it to my local Infiniti Dealer and had it diagnosed the dealers says the wiring harness is corroded due to water damage the diagnosis also reads that i need to replace my bcm and i recently replaced it... sorry the info is so vague cuz i dont really understand the whole thing but im trying to learn so if any1 can give me some insight on how much the engine wiring harness and other things I am going to need is going to cost and a good place I could get 1 it would be much appreciated and I would also like to learn a little more about the mechanics so i can be informed for the future. thanks in advance

well there's why you got a steal man. car doesn't work :S
you'll definitely have to get more info before many ppl can help ya

I understand I guess I could write what i see word for word in the diagnosis

If you were to buy a harness from the dealer they are going to stick it in your a@@. Now i can not say for sure how much the g harness is because i have never bought one, but i have got many for work on other cars. Most of them range from 1000 to 2500. Now if you find a good junk yard they will take one out for you for almost half the price of a new one. Good luck with your new car.
