XM radio -- free AFTER free trial???
Attention all new G/Infiniti buyers,
I would like you to do a little experiment with your free trial XM satellite radio.
The day my free trial expired I switched to XM radio just to see what would happen. Lo and behold, I still had XM radio! YAAAAAAY!!!
I thought I got lucky and they forgot to cancel my subscription. So I go to change the station, but the moment I did the screen read "Acquiring Signal". Soon after, XM radio was gone for good! NOOOOOOO!!!
I guess I was still able to listen to the last station it was on. So now I am wondering (and will forever be) if I had left it on that one station, could I have gotten one XM station for free for the lifetime of my car?
Your mission, if you so choose to accept, is to leave the XM radio on one last station -- your "favorite" station -- when your free trial expires. Let's see if that one station continues to play.

Another way to try to keep your satellite service is to wait until it is about to expire. Unplug the module so that it doesn't power up, call to cancel service. After it is canceled, wait about 1-2 months, then plug it back in. Once it aquires service it should be up and running. As for how long it last, I can't say. My buddy has been running his for about 1-2 months so far. If his is a freak occurance, it is a good one.
