Suggestions for my system...

(2006 g35 coupe, non-bose) I am keeping the stock headunit because i cannot justify spending $1000 to do a ddin. I want to upgrade my stereo system without having to spend crazy amounts of money...

I am planning on getting one of the zen-enclosures off of ebay for $130 to support two 10" subs. I am looking at spending maybe $100 per sub, then get an amp to power everything...

I am curious though, Could a 5 channel amp power both subs, plus the 4 speakers in my car?

What would i have to be concerned with when doing this, besides making sure that the amp can put out enough wattage?

I'd be concerned at how poorly a $100 10" sub would sound, but if you're doing nothing but rap and dance music, it doesn't really matter.

But, given a 5-channel amp with 300w RMS for the sub channel two $100 subs rated between like 100w - 300w RMS, and a single $200 sub rated at about 300w RMS run off the same amp, you're going to get more punch from the single sub.

So my suggestion?

Keep the factory speakers driven from the factory headunit and add a single sub in the 300w RMS range and and amplifier to go with it. It'll give more punch to the sound than overpowering the stock speakers and adding two weak subs that are far from their optimal power levels.

Well what exactly would you recommend? I would like to keep it at like $500 including the wiring and installation....

The box is $130.... so that leaves me with about $370 for equipment. I am not looking for anything to blow out the competition....

In my last car, i spent $1000 for two 10" bazooka subs in a box, with a 300W amp powering them (was a pre-built package) and it sounded AMAZING. I just dont see why i cant get the same kind of bass out of a couple of cheaper subs... or cheaper equipment? It doesn't have to be a $300 JL audio sub or anything, a cheaper Sony or Dual would still produce low's, no?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ZEnclosures-G35-2-10-Subwoofer-Enclosure-Sub-Box-NEW-/300303664014?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45eb7e438e

fitted with these two..

http://cgi.ebay.com/2-KICKER-2010-C10-CAR-AUDIO-STEREO-10-SUBWOOFERS-SUBS-/270587677999?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures&hash=item3f00484d2f

then ill just find an amp to power the subs + my 4 door speakers...

Im thinking this?

With that combination, you'll be a king amongst high-school kids comparing watts in the K-Mart parking lot.
If you associate watts to ***** length and want to compare with other kids, go ahead and do that.

If you want the best sound for your buck here you go:
Let your factory stereo drive your new front speakers, it'll be fine, really. You can add a four-channel amp for your speakers later. $Free
Get the single 10" zenclosure. $99
Get an IDQ10D4 V3 10" sub $169
Get a JL 250.1 Amp $149.
That leaves you with $80 to buy amp power wires and speaker cable.

And I guarantee it'll sound better and hit harder than that pyle+kicker combo.
The only sub I'd put over the IDQ10D4 V3 10" sub would be a JL 10w6v2d4, it'll hit harder, but that'll cut into your power wire and cable budget.
Buying a cheap-*** amp like that pyle is only going to hurt you in the long run, be it by dying early, ruining a sub, or just being a bad investment.
For your small budget, it's moronic to try and do two subs.

When you pick up another couple hundred bucks, add a small 4-channel amp to give your full-range speakers some more kick, and your end result will be words above the wal-mart combo you had found on eBay.

Yup, there's $500 systems that make music sound good and loud, and there's $500 systems that make music into loud sounds.
