Re: Labor costs for applying Dynamat?
I'm assuming it would cost a lot, considering it's such a pain in the a$$!!! If you estimate 4 hours, it will take 8!

i dont know the cost of the labor would be...but you should've negotiated that along with the system you've just installed, most of the shop are willing give you a lot of discount on sound deading when they are try to sell you on the systems, besides they have to tear it apart anyway to run the cables and wires.....by the way i like your HU, i had same one, before i switch it out for AVIC N1.

the problem with the audio shop, sometime they take shortcut. It happen to me before and that is why i chose to do it myself. When i do it, i know every inch of the door will be dynamat. i think you should do it urself, at least you know it will be done properly.

Re: Labor costs for applying Dynamat?
yup..i did that outside near the license plate. It helps reduce alot of vibration.
Here is what i have done for far. As mentioned above, the outside of the car near the rear license plate. I also did the trunk, the rear seat, the rear panel (both against the outer wall and inner wall, the rear wheel well. Off course the most important is the front door. The front door both layer. The door consist of a metal plate that reside between the outer most portion of the door and plastic piece.
I have only three thing left...the bottom floor, all the tops and lastly the engine bay area. It probably a 2 years on going project as i am lazy **** ****..hehhee .
