Ground noise coming from speakers

Ok. So, I've had everything installed for a while. Well, yesterday while rolling my window down, the window caught the speaker terminals and pulled them off the speaker somehow. Well, the terminals shorted to each other and a very distinct electronic distortion noise came from the other speakers for a split-second. Ever since that instance, I've had a very annoying whining, ground noise coming from my components. I took the door panel off, reconnected the termals, and it still made the noise. I even removed my fuses and tried letting all of the internal capacitors drain out. Still making the damn noise.

Do you guys think that the amp is pretty much ****ed? I know they make ground isolation solutions for the power input and the RCA cables. But, I know it's not from the power source or the audio source...

Meh.

Any recommendations other than replacing the amp?

Here's my setup:

Pioneer AVIC-F90BT
Phoenix Gold Ryval V752 (75W x 2 RMS)
Alpine SPX-17REF 6 1/2 components
Infinity Reference 1600a (600 x 1 RMS)
Phoenix Gold RSd12d sub

try unplugging the RCAs from the while it's on and plugging them back in. For some reason that's worked in the past for me. I can't explain it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but this is leading me down a pretty odd path...

Ok. This is driving me insane. I have narrowed it down (I think). So, it only makes the noise when the BCM Relay is energized. The BCM provides power to almost every engine control component. So, I started narrowing it down even more. I discovered that when I disconnect plug F31 (Electric Throttle Control Motor), the noise goes away. Hahaha. WTF? Somehow, when the wires shorted (I'm assuming to ground), I think it messed it up... But, it's working just fine; no limp mode or anything... Odd... I wish I had a spare one to toss in to verify...

Anyone run into anything like this before? I'm willing to bet not...

I'm just ranting now and trying to make sense of things...

Wish me luck...

Were you able to get rid of the whine?

If anyone other than you installed the speakers -- i'd take it back to them (given it's a place that warrants their work) and let 'em know your window caught the speaker terminals --

best of luck
