Just Got a NEW Pioneer Head Unit!!!
Haven't seen an updated thread on new head-units so I thought I'd chime in.
As one of the '03 owners who have experienced radio/ac control board problems
, I decided to alleviate this problem but just buying a new head unit and JDM double din kit. I chose Crutchfield since they have good prices and offered free shipping as well as all the other free guides and info they give you. Still searching for the best deal on the double-din kit, though.
I just purchased the Pioneer AVIC-FB700T Navigation Receiver from Crutchfield on sale for $499.99($350 savings). I also purchased the Pioneer CD-IU230V iPod Audio/Video Direct Cable for $49.99 so that I can play music out of my iPod and have the Navi running on the screen. I opted not to get a Sirius/XM kit since I'm not home enough to enjoy a subscription. Perhaps when I finally go home for good, I'll enjoy having the option to do so.
PICS!

To upgrade my current setup, I also purchased the Infinity Reference 6022si 6-1/2"/6-3/4" Shallow 2-way Speakers for the door, which were also on sale for $69.99(from $100), and further reduced 10% in combination w/ my head unit purchase. I should be fairly happy with the response over the factory speakers.

I already have a sub setup as well, but I blew a voice coil, so I'll be looking into another single 12" sub. I'm thinking a good JL sub should finish off my audio setup.
I'm not looking for sound competition quality sound, but this was a good opportunity to upgrade my aging Bose system with more features I can enjoy in car. I can't wait to go home and hear it all!
UPDATE: It sounds GREAT!!!

Looks good man! I just did my rear speakers to Infinity Kappas and they sound pretty good! Glad to hear your References are working well for you!

nice. I have the f90bt. Did you get the 3.0 update for that unit?
also which harness did you use?
here are pics of my unit. I made it flush with a custom trim piece.
