I have an 03 coupe with bose 6 disc indash and nav. I installed the PA11-NIS controller and when I pressed sat it said no sat, to my horror when I pressed cd it started playing my ipod.

I do not think I hooked anything up wrong, I have the plugs from the usa spec plugged into these ports highlighted in the guide

I have been searching but I cannot find what I am looking for.

Don't know about the 03, but I installed the USA Spec in my '05 and it controls the iPod as the CD Changer. My built in 6 disc changer still works fine. I just hit the CD button once and it goes to "CD" which controls the built in 6 disc changer and hit it again and it says "CD CHNGR" which controls the iPod.

 

Thank you, I just got back from outside again (cant leave my car unlocked with windows down in New Bedford long lol) and I discovered this.

This is very strange, I wonder if we could still get xm radio?

Anyways, after some more investigating I guess discs 1-5 are playlists and disc 6 allows you to controll the ipod. I also discovered that it seems that the ipod will only auto turn off when disc 6 is pressed.

Anyways good enough for me...now time to figure out if I can remember where all these screws go!

 

Actually I went down to the car and the Ipod was charging. Thats kind of disappointing. I read somewhere about it stops charging after an hour (?) of no activity? Is this true?

 

Ummm putting this car back together is proving a lot harder than taking it apart.

 

Wooo done, took way longer than it should have lol. I only gained one extra screw this time working on my car...thats like a world record. When I pulled apart my VR-4's interior I think I gained 6 haha.

 

FYI my ipod updated when I plugged it into my computer to add new music and now it doesnt work in my car anymore....

lol man sucks that you are having so many problems with yours. i have added new music to mine without any problems. what is it doing? just saying the CD EJECT message?

 

Yeah the DIN says CD EJECT, the ipod flashes from the home screen and ok to disconnect over and over again. Really sucks.
