05 bought without nav, custom installed gps

Hi everybody,
I'm new to this site and just purchased an 05 6mt two weeks ago...without the nav pkg. I spent some time pondering the idea of custom installing my Tomtom one handheld somewhere and decided to take the plunge. It's installed where the ashtray sits and looks/works great! not to mention, its completely hidden and easily accessible. I posted a picture album of the install under my profile. For those out there looking for a permanent gps mount project, I hope this helps! let me know if you have any questions about it.

+1.. you should do a Do it yourself post. that looks really good and extremely creative. what model tom tom is that? and how long did the install take? difficulty? i do have stock gps but i really love the tom toms + the free road updates. we have to install a new map dvd every year on the stock nav. and they are expensive. unless you get a bootleg.
