Opinions Needed: Which 6-1/2 Speaker Set-up to Use?

I am looking at a few 6-1/2s and would like to know your opinion on which set-up to go with... ..I will be using a Kenwood Excelon KAC-X40 4 Channel AMP (70W RMS @ 4 Ohm/100W RMS @ 2 Ohm). I am unsure altogether but really questioning set-up "A" because the speakers do not match with the frequency responses (35-40KHz vs. 48-25KHz). Hmmmm?

I am debating on going with either:

A. Front: Alpine SPX-17REF (RMS 75W @ 4 Ohm/Frequency response: 35-40000 Hz) Rear: JL Audio C5-650x (RMS 75W @ 4 Ohm/Frequency response: 48-25000 Hz)

B. Front & Rear: JL Audio C5-650x (RMS 75W @ 4 Ohm/Frequency response: 48-25000 Hz)

C. Front & Rear: Infinity Kappa 63.9i (3-Way 6-1/2s -- 75W RMS @ 2 Ohm/Frequency response: 45-30000 Hz)

Do you have some other ones to recommend within $100-$300 per set price range? Any input is appreciated!

why not go with just a VERY good set of fronts? The X type is a great speaker. are you running a sedan or coupe? If you're running a coupe I'd say forget rear speakers and go with a better quality fronts and a very good sub

If you have a sedan... option B

I have the Sedan... I was thinking about getting a good set of Focal for just the fronts but I feel there is too much of a gap from the fronts to the sub in the trunk and would feel/sound strange.

Option "B" is what I think it will ultimately be. I haven't heard these before but everything I search shows that these are great speakers.

So you think the JLs are a good choice? How well do they get lows and mid range?

JL XR component front and XR coaxial rear is what I'm 90% sure what I'm getting.

JLs wouldn't be my first choice, because I'm biased towards focal. However, the higherend JL stuff doesn't sound that bad.

Yeah but for a couple hundred dollar difference I'll go with JL ad sounds just as good as normal ears can hear.

The JL C5s that I am looking into retail around $499 but can be had for $290.

Every review says they are "phenomenal speakers" and pro reviews say the same. I wanted Focal too but they are way too expensive for my by blood (retail $999 sold for $599 online) ouch
