Any interest in DIY for running new speaker wire to the doors?
Hey guys,
I'm just finishing up my stereo install. I read up on here as much as I could about running new speaker wire to the doors but I don't believe there is a DIY. The best info I came across was from 4080 and that was just a verbal description. Using my research I was able to finally run new wire to the passenger door on my 2004 G35 coupe...what a P I T F A! The following night I did the same process for the driver side and took a crapload of pictures... god it was so much easier having done the other side already. So if anyone thinks it would be beneficial I could write up a complete DIY for running new wire to the doors.

I don't think most people would hear a difference JUST changing the speaker wire out for heavier gauge wire keeping the stock compnents --
If you go aftermarket amp and speakers -- you won't take advantage of your speakers or your amp with the stock wiring, gotta go heavier gauge.

well then i think my post reflected that: "...you won't take advantage of the aftermarket speakers and other components without better wire..." but if it sounds good to you -- why bother??

I should have the DIY finished soon, hopefully ready to post in a day or two. I've got so many pictures to sort through. I'm going to have to make a PDF, way too much to post in a thread.
Already beat you to it!

That figures. I couldn't find anything like that when I looked. I'm going to look over your document and if I think mine still has enough useful information I'll go ahead and post it.
