Zune connection in an 05 coupe
First off, I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I searched through pages of threads and couldn't find the answers I'm looking for. Basically, I want to know if I were to buy this and this, will I be able to listen to my Zune through the Bose stereo in an 05 coupe? And with the Zune package, will I be able to control the player through the steering wheel? No big deal if not, just wondering. Finally, I am totally inept at anything involving car audio, so i would need to have this stuff installed professionally. Where would be a good place to have that done? I'm in the Tampa Bay area if that helps. Thanks!

The PAC device will let you hook up anything with a dual-RCA output. I got rid of my Zune a while ago, so I don't remember if there's a mini-stereo jack or if you have to use the proprietary adapter. If you have the mini-stereo jack, the cheapest/easiest thing to do is simply buy a mini-stereo -> RCA adapter cable and hook that up to the PAC. Otherwise, that Zune adapter will work fine.
You'll be able to control the volume from the steering wheel and change the input to/from the Satellite for the Zune, but that's it. You'll have to use the Zune itself to select music, change tracks, etc.
Edit: Oh and by the way the installation is really simplistic. You DO have to pull out your entire center console with the stereo so you can get behind it, so if you don't feel comfortable doing that, take it to any stereo shop. But once the stereo is pulled out you just plug it in and tuck it away underneath the ash tray area.

If you're interested I've got a used AAI-NIS for sale. I just took it out of my G last week. Works fine, I just put in a new head-unit and didn't need it anymore. I think the only difference between the AAI-NIS and AAI-NIS2 is the model of the car. My instructions show it's for a 2003-2004 G35, whereas the NIS2 also lists the 2005 model.
