I recently purchased an '07 G35S with the hard drive navigation.

The navigation is version 06-07. Do they have the 09-10 version out yet? If not, when will it be available.

As it apparently is 150 from Navteq and 88 - 165 dollars from the dealer to install, I'm hoping to get the most recent version if possible.

Also, is there a cheaper way to update?

Do people on these forums sell the codes? Supposedly, that's all I'd get from Navteq.

I don't know why i can't just do this all from the dealer itself; it would be a lot easier.

 

i dont think u can "resell" it..
the dealer will upload the update to your hard drive.. and u'll never see anything. (DVD, CD, USB, ETC)

you buy it they enter your serial number or VIN. if your hard-drive ever crashes or needs to be replaced, they pull you VIN and see what is lincesed to you and yea.
