03 coupe with the sat button

i am going crazy trying to find out what will work and what wouldn't.
my Blose is on its way out, i have seen members connect there ipod from the back of the trunk and then runnin wires upfront.

but then i saw

it seems easier to install

what i need is text on the display (is the bose capable of scrolling?)and function to change track on the wheel., and maybe aux. will the above item do it? If not is there one that can?

Is there anyway to play a usb/device instead of and ipod (i like this feature because my pioneer radio can detect ipod and usb)

Actually, I just got done installing this over the weekend. I didnt see the model number in that fleabay posting but I assume it is the same one I got, uPAC-NIS1 by PAC-Audio.

This one is different then the 999U7-IPOD (Semi-OEM I guess you could say). This goes into the back of the radio which wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt for the fact that you have to dismantle then entire dash to get to it.

The unit works reasonably well. It will show and navigate through the Artists, tracks, albums, and play list fine. It does NOT scroll when the text is off the screen. You canNOT change tracks with the steering wheel controls (the 999U7-IPOD cant either on certain years, mine included). When trying to adjust the audio settings (base, treble, etcs) with the Audio button, it only gives you a half-second to make the change before reverting to the song name (real annoying when trying to tweak the sound).

The one BIG problem I have is the fact that the volume on the output is too low. Not super low so you cant hear it but it definitely needs more gain. I have an email to PAC so see if anything can be done.

I hope so because I can live with the other quarks but that audio out is a deal breaker. I like the fact that it has a second audio input from a headphone Jack/mini-plug (both it and the ipod plug are in my glovebox).

Can anyone confirm that the OEM 999U7-IPOD audio output level matches the Radio?
