Looks very clean. Because of the pic quality I cannot tell if that is just primer or the end result. If primer, what color are you going to get?

Re: Picture of my car setup in progress

Yeah that isn't the end result. They should be doing the painting today or tomorrow, I think. The overall plan was to match the interior of the car, which I have black. I believe that they will probably paint it silver (probably same silver as the nakamichi color). And then also use black vinyl to complete the setup. They are going for this whole silver/black thing. I had also discussed with the installer about taking off the bose cover from the 6x9 and making it black and silver like our front speaker covers.

Yeah I know .. the trunk space is absolutely gone. Guess I won't be the "airport" driver anymore. It was a big factor in me possibly not getting this crazy setup, but i said oh well.. screw it.. i really wanted a setup like this. As far as the cost.. that's a tricky one.. as far as the labor, dynamat, wiring.. it will probably end up being approx $2400. As far as the equipment, i bought them all separately over the past few years. approx $3k i would guess. That's including all the inside speakers too though.

From the pictures, it looks as though you have left the stock 6x9's in place. Do you plan on keeping them? With your setup, removing them would help get the sound into the cabin easier.

Re: Picture of my car setup in progress

Thanks for the advice. Initially I was thinking about removing the 6.x9s and just leaving it open as you said, but I got an awesome deal on some PPI speakers. So the 6x9s in the picture are PPIs. I'm hoping though that the rear deck isn't going to rattle. What I really do need is an equalizer.. any donations?

For an update, my car is still taking forever. Despite the audio shop saying 1 more week.. that deadline has come and gone. On the bright side, I have decided to also have them install the Clifford Concept450 Alarm (which has shock and glass sensors). Let's hope this doesn't delay the process another month.
