Speakers going out

My speakers go out outta no where. All of a sudden one side of the car sound stops working, Im thinking of changing the front speakers. Ive been reading that i shold change all of them but some say not to. I not really heavy into the audio diy but i wanna know more. I honestly dont even know if my g35 system is the premium one lol. A lil help here pleae. Just wanna know how do i know if its the premium model and should i change all speakers and the amps or just the speakers? thanks

I had my BOSE HU replaced under warranty a few years ago, the left channel output failed. If the speakers going out are all on one side, your description sounds like my issue - they didn't fail all at once, it just happened on and off, then eventually the output from the left channel went to zero over a period of a month or so.

The speakers on the BOSE are not same impedance as most aftermarket speakers and you need to take care if you ever do replace them, choices are limited unless you change them all out and either replace the HU with double din dash and new stereo.

If my HU fails again it's out of warranty, I'd look for a used one, new are outrageous priced, or bite the bullet and replace the center console with double DIN and a new HU with adapter for the current speakers, or all new speakers, too.

Otherwise if you're in warranty for bumper-to-bumper take it in and get it replaced.
