Will OEM nav work after installing aftermarket double din?

I have a 04 G35 with bose speakers and the Navigation System. My radio is f'ed up... same issue everyone else is having with the cd player short. Well I go to order a new headunit... Crutchfield warns before i am about to process my order that the stock navigation will no longer work?

I though that the system for the navi was separate from the radio? I was planning on keeping the stock navi, because i was trying to not fork over the G+ it costs for a dvd/navi aftermarket double din player.

Thanks

Oh yeah, if it is not available, what is a decent price for a stock 04 bose headunit, in dash 6 cd changer, and stock navigation system?

The headunit works fine with the radio, but shorts out with the cd

I'm going to bump for same question because I have been searching for 2 hours and still don't know what kit to use and function-ability. If anyone knows please post info or link to info.

basically just buy whichever kit you want.
install it and remember to reattach all the harnesses.
Simple as that.
Nav will still work only without the voice

JDM $$$ or Metra $$, there are kits available to convert the dash to double din.
Then you get a Metra 70-7551 wiring harness for Bose, Metra 70-7550 for non-bose.

To keep nav voice, you need to add a speaker or create a relay that's triggered by the interrupt wire from the nav unit, unless you get an alpine head unit. Alpine can add the KCA-410C adapter to add a line input that will interrupt whatever's playing.

If you need a more specific answer, ask a more specific question.
