OEM XM antenna removal

I did a search and couldn't find anything conclusive. What i am wanting to know is how to remove this monster and either relocate it or find a smaller one.
any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks

is this for the shark fin antenna or the black plastic one? if it's the shark fin, it's bolted down and you have a hole underneath it in the roof sheetmetal. if it's the plastic one, you'll have to gets some wd-40 and let it soak. then remove with a floss or fishing line and a hairdryer.

if you don't have tint, the rear speaker shelf will work fine and keep it somewhat hidden. tint started giving me problems. if it's the smaller one (about 2"x2") it should fit well. if it's the larger one it will look kinda bulky. you can always buy a smaller antenna off ebay (about $20). or if you have the time and money, i've got a DIY for converting over to a shark fin '07-style and keep it color-matched on the roof.
