Driver's side fuse panel diagram?

Hey all,

I'm getting ready to hardwire my Bel SmartCord into the drive's side fuse panel. I'd like it to be connected to switches power so the detector can only turn on when the car is turned on.

Does anyone know of a diagram on which fuse panel "ports" are switched and ready for a device to be connected?

Thanks!
B

Really? Somebody's gotta know this instantly. I imagine hundreds if not thousands of G35'ers on this site have tapped into that panel!

Radio or cruise is what I've always used. Pretty sure I went radio on the G.

Or maybe it was cig lighter? Take your pick, they're all switched.

The cig lighter's an option and I guess it's not super hard to get to... if I wanted to go the fuse route, then the fuses are labeled on the plastic door, right?

I would definitely just use a fuse tap in the panel - I didn't mean to imply that you should dig into the radio or cig lighter wiring. I've used fuse taps in the side panel on all my cars with no problems. The fuse tap isn't always very easy to squeeze in and there should be a label there. If not I can go scan in my label and post it. It's probably in the service manual as well.

Cig lighter might be your safest route unless you plug high current devices into it.

You just gave me a great idea. I know exactly where I'm gonna do it now. Two years ago I directly hard-wired my passenger side cig lighter to the battery (along with my PS2, and a toggle switch) so I can charge my cell phone while my car is off. I had to cut the existing "switched" red/black wires from that cig lighter so they're wrapped up in electrical tape tucked in there. They seem perfect for this job.
