f90bt vs f900bt

i curently have the f900bt and to be honest the sound quality sounds like ****. its really quite and the ipod has no sound at all. so i was wondering if the f90bt will work better? and if it takes the same harnesses so i can just plug it right it to where the f900bt was.

If there's no sound from the iPod, check that you have both the RCA cables and the USB cables connected to the pioneer iPod cable. It does not send audio over the USB connection, the USB connection just controls the iPod. The audio is sent via the two red/white RCA cables as AUX1 - make sure that AUX1 is set to iPod, so that when iPod is active, it listens to those cables, otherwise the sound will come through when you choose AUX1 as the input, not the iPod.

I installed the F90BT and used the 7551, I am pretty sure it was required since it is 4 ohms system?

The system sounds really great however on certain artists when playing the ipod I can max the volume out at level 62, I am wondering if this is because I need to upgrade my stock bose speakers or is it due to the harness...?

I like my music LOUD.... like I said it does not happen all the time, but occasionally..
I do have a aftermarket sub and amp, but I also plan on upgrading the front door speakers...

hopefully this will help......?

HighstakeG- You have to turn the Aux input to ipod otherwise it will not recognize it.. I believe this is in the setup options...

highstakesG: that is the harness. and it's no harder than connecting the wires to the corresponding colours on the aftermarket deck and you DO NOT use the deck's preouts.

What many people have failed to notice is that with the earlier Gs they don't have BOSE speakers, just the amp. meaning it's just a regular amp. the speakers are nissan's clarion. I stopped installing in 2006 and every G I took apart up to an early 06 model and it had clarion speakers but had the Bose logo.

its the crappy pioneer ipod cable that comes with the f90bt. i had the same problem, bought a Belkin AV ipod cable from Best Buy to replace the pioneer ipod cable and everything is golden now. i like my music loud and volume level 40 is blasting when i have my windows down on the highway when playing my ipod.

Thanks Bina! how the hell did you figure that one out... lol

I will have to invest in that upgrade, however I am not looking forward to taking the dash apart in order to do so...

Does the volume level on the ipod when you plug it in have anything to do with it?

On another note....
Have you DL'd the 3.0 update? If so is it worth it?

how do you like the F90BT?
Yeah it has a few issues, I am sure both you and I know what they are..
But personally I could not be happier for the money I spent...
