Does the HU that come on amazon contain the same items that are in the box of crutchfield? I was gonna buy it off amazon for like 150 cheaper with free shipping. And buy the harness and cable somewhere else. Even the harness and cable have shipping it still less than crutchfield. I'm not planning to DIY so why pay all that? THey are offering like ipod cables and etc lol I don't need that I can just use the ipod charger/usb the box came with when I bought my ipod.

I believe so. I ordered HU, Metra cable, antenna adaapter, & PAC swi-ps, all off of amazon. Not sure what the total was all together but it seemed like the cheapest way to go. It was pry around $500 for all that stuff. Then plus my JDM DD conversion kit from riverside, which should be here today.

Hey guys.. don't want to start new topic so just gonna use this one. I'm gonna install Pioneer AVH6000DVD this week, and because currently i have a stock sirius sat radio I bought Pioneer module for sirius. I went to car/audio shop around me today and they told me that I still need to get a new tuner and antenna because in stock one there is a different plug and I won't be able to use it with new radio. Is it right? If they are right what part should I get?
Thanx!

Is it something universal or do I need some specificmodel for g35 n pioneer? Can I get it online?

Ps. And I don't need anything like "an universal tuner and new antenna for around $80 from best buy"? Rite

I am planning to do this exact same install. I have the following:

JDM DD KIT
Pioneer P4100DVD
SWI-PS and SWI-X - I am not sure which one is needed...halp?
Nissan Atenna adapter

Here is my question:

I have a 2006 non-bose G35 sedan, do I still need to get the Metra wire harness if I am planning to rewire and replace the speakers? I am also adding 2 aftermarket amps to power the speakers and sub.

^I am confused on which PAC unit to get as well. Does anyone know if the PAC SWI-X can work on the P4100 dvd or do i definitely need to buy the SWI-PS??

You also need a bosch relay to do a relax ground bypass of the parking brake green wire so your head unit thinks it's in park when you're driving and will play DVD's if you want it. There's a video on youtube that shows you how to wire the bypass on the p4100. Type in p4100 in youtube.

You may also need to do a relay bypass if you want DVD function in drive. Quick question on that, anyone know which grounds hook into the pin that gets three? Is it stereo ground, ground to car and small ground for next pin? is that the three wires that connect to the first ground on the relay?
