Alpine IDA-X100 - Turns off after 20-30 minutes
Sounds like it might be a grounding issue, but I've tried multiple grounding locations already to no avail. Scraped off the paint and attached the wire to the chasis, nada!
Everything else seems to be connected properly as I don't think the unit would work at all if it wasn't.
Any ideas of what it might be?
Thank you in advance for any help!

It's new - open box or refurbished. Can't remember now which is was.
It makes sense what you're saying though. Whenever I'd have my A/C on, the unit doesn't tun off that quickly. I called Crutchfield about it and they told me to ground the unit better, etc. I think they're feeding me with BS now.

Take the unit out and check if any wires are touching. Unplug the bose amp and run the headunit alone, see if it shuts off than. (you will not get sound, this is only to see if the bose amp has anything to do with it.) also if it doesn't take to long try it in another car if it does still does it than you know it is the headunit.
you used a harness I'm guessing.
connect the blue wire on the car side harness to the blue white on the radio harness.
disconnect the amp ground wire. and disconnect the blue white wire on the car side harness. it's likely getting a power loop

Quick question, is it the head unit that is shutting off or the Bose? That is what do you mean by shutting off?
