Please help! Battery Died from car audio?

Hey guys,

Just wondering why my battery died. Everything was working fine until I adjusted the gains yesterday. When I woke up for work, the car was completely dead. I attached a jump cable from my other car, and the car would still not start (but electronics turn on). I took my battery to Sear's and they said that the battery was good and holds a charge.

What's going on? Bad ground or something?

Thanks a lot guys,
J

Could it be because of the alternator?

What year car, how did you connect the power to the audio? And what do you mean by not starting, not turning over, or turning over and not starting?

Any other mods?

partly true

a redtop has a much higher reserve time vs a regular battery.

yellow tops are great if you plan on running your set up for 30 min or longer, while still needing a starting battery.

I have ran redtops for 5+ years in many vehicles, through many audio builds and have never had a problem with reserve time or starting.

OP, it may have just been time for a new battery, how old is the battery?

it could just be he left a light on in his car and didn't let the battery charge up. Jump starting doesn't always just work. Sometimes you have to give it a chance to charge up before starting. It's hard to say if your battery is pooched.
