Two days ago, the left speakers in my sedan went out while i was listening to a cd. the front left door and rear left door. at first i thought i blew them, but when i turned to am radio, they both worked fine. What is the issue here? they make the noise of a blown speaker when on cd, but on radio they work.

 

You need a new head unit. The circuit board is done

and so this means that if i get new speakers and amp them and change out the wiring, the left side still wont play?

 

if you want to test your speakers, pull one out and do the 5v battery test... get a 5v AA or AAA battery, use 6" of speaker wire to connect: positive to positive on speaker, negative to negative on speaker... tap the positive... the speaker should move in and out. if it doesn't, your coil's hosed.

I don't think anyone here on the forum can tell you for sure what the issue other than just a "hunch." To know for sure, you'll have to diagnose the radio yourself or have someone do it for you.

I'm not saying those people aren't right, but before you go spend upwards of $1000 bucks for a new HU, amp, and what have you, i'd get the opinion of a professional before blindly following someone on a newsgroup thats never even seen your radio etc....

 

Just a side note that polarity isn't important if you do this test.
