Got a new DD head unit from the Kenwood Excelon line, DNX9140 with nav and all the goodies(bluetooth, album art, DVD playback, 5.1 support, 13 channel EQ, etc.), JDM DD bezel kit, satellite radio (SIRIUS), backup camera, ipod cable (still in the mail), adapters and lits of wires

Unfortunately they would only deliver to a registered address for my debit card, so all of it but the sirius stuff and DD kit are at home in KC. Ill take pics when i get it in the car toward the end of next week! CANT WAIT!!!

After seeing the way the voice control works on the Kenwood, I still prefer the Pioneer units, especially since you can pick up a Z110BT on amazon for $999 right now.

Having to look at the screen and say stuff like "Line 1", "Line 3" to get it to play the music just seems so reminiscent of old phone menus to me. I'd much rather say "Play artist Green Day" in a single command, without looking at the screen once.

However, I will say, the Kenwood may have a leg up on the Pioneer with regards to navigation.

and audio control. 13 channel eq for fronts, rears, and sub. TBH this head unit is the SQ king, the pioneer cant compare. I think WHAT you say is kinda pointless as long as you get what you want in the end.

also i got mine from a certified vendor of kenwood, no ebay or amazing crap where the warranty is no good.

u made the right move. Pioneer may be hands down the worst double din navi out there. I have a D3, and im telling you..the navi sucks. The pico fuse issue has been a thing for years..no repair. Id rather say line 1 or 3 than have have a navi take me in a three hour circle rather than a 45 min straight line. Pioneer should just stick to making awesome TVS since they have made any noise in car audio since the p1R

I didn't look at the DDX814. Wanted the Garmin nav. Mine won't be in til the end of January. Having someone do a complete audio overhaul.
