Thanks for the detailed reply.
It is very reassuring to know that extensive modification was not needed for yoru installation. On my previous vehicle, I had to cut away many parts behind the dash including rerouting the interior vent ducts to make a similar installation. I am glad this is not necessary in the G35 coupe.
Another concern I was curious about was exactly how much clearance you have between the AT shifter in D Gear and the edge of the Pioneer screen when it flips out. I hope it doesn't come dangerously close during operation.

all screens are different but with this pioneer 7300dvd it actually has enough room to come out when im in reverse. plent of room when im in neutral, drive etc... only time it hits the gear is when its in park. hopefully this helps

hmm. thats wierd because when i take off the center console, i see metal brackets that are in the way, and it doesnt seem like a din could possibly fit without cutting anything, i have a 2003 coupe.
